Jackson Pollock, move over! I've discovered the kitchen floor is my canvas, and regularly create a mess, er, masterpiece every night using tools at hand. Here, my medium of choice was bibs.

Strike!
The doctor says once I hit 20 pounds, Mommy and Daddy can start putting me in a big-girl car seat -- you know, the kind that faces forward. Until then, I'm stuck in the baby seat/carrier you see here. Yes, I'm totally spilling out of it -- at my one-year checkup, I learned I'm in the 25th percentile for weight (i.e., heavier than 25% of little girls my age) and in the 75th percentile for length. I'm long and lean! But that doesn't stop Daddy from taking me bowling.

Birthday parties rock!
Especially when they're mine! I'm one year old today, and lots of family members descended on our homestead this past weekend to celebrate.
Aunt Dede sent me a Scanamatic book and Aunt Trish sent two Fisher-Price toys. I've had so much fun throwing them all over the floor!
Aunt Cathy and Uncle Steve gave me a pretty riding toy and this awesome crash helmet!
Grandpa and Grandma Parr weren't able to be there, but they sent this authentic Cape Cod sweat shirt and sweet book.
Grammy and Papa hung out the entire weekend and even took me to the park! They also gave me some new clothes and an amazing playhouse! It has a doorbell, a skylight, a toy stove, a toy cell phone, and windows that open and shut. Aunt Dede calls it "totally fly" and says it's nicer than her own home!

Look who's NOT walking.
Once I hit a developmental milestone in a spectacular, public way, I may decline to exhibit it again for days. I'm now adhering to my modus operandi and refusing -- yes, refusing -- to walk 'cause being carried everywhere is much nicer, don't you think?

Windows to the soul.
There's a bit of debate as to my ultimate eye color. Some folks think they'll end up blue like Grammy Bern's. Others swear there's a little green mixed in there, like Daddy's. One of Mommy's friends thinks they'll be "hazel with grey undertones". And of course they could always revert to brown, like Mommy's. Since my eyes supposedly won't settle into their permanent adult color for another year or two, there's still plenty of time for speculation. So... what color do you think I'll end up with? Take my new poll and weigh in!
